Thank you so much! I have a bass that I bought many years ago and I just took out of storage. I lost the tuner, but this is so easy, now I think it’s perfect (or darn close).
Now I just need lessons, lol!
3 people are tonedeaf.
@richardburnell ahh cheers mate
yeah i got the letters in the wrong order haha xD
@AlphabetSoupCircus My hearing is not acute enough to to pick it up, however it could be that the tuner I have is marginally incorrect? Or perhaps in the process of recording it to my PC then uploading to Youtube there has been a fraction of time distortion altering the pitch ever so slightly? Hopefully it’s close enough for you to get away with!
Very helpful
I don’t know if it’s just me though, but you sound SLIGHTLY flat. Like, as in so slightly you could probably barely touch the tuners and they would be in perfect tune.
I find it a lot harder to tune a bass by ear than a guitar. Thanks for this video
okay hey im new just got my bass like 30 mins ago been wanting to learn for awhile any tips or pointers or anything that anyone can give me thanks!
@eaglewings I’ve put a 5 string vid on today with the low B on it. Enjoy!
@skaterboyrob19 I have put a video on for Drop C – I have used C,G,C,F though, never seen it done CFCG before.
are there any videos anywhere that show you how to drop your bass into drop C?(CFCG)
Thanx!
E – 0:05
A – 0:53
D – 1:46
G – 2:43
helped tremendously
(better than expertvillage…)
Any chance of getting a tuning sound for a 5 string? As in, adding how the B-string sounds when absolutely correctly tuned?
thanks! just what i was looking for!
@bere1213 the wonders of modern technology come to the rescue – glad it helped!
@xxSuzballxx thanks – glad it helped!
this is JUST what I was looking for.. not some crap from a 20 man saying this is a string.. it plays a note.. it should sound like this.. but before I tell you. I’d like to talk about the history of guitars -.-
thank you!
Just wanted to say thanks i was in the middle of a church service n my bass was’t tuned but i saw this video and i did it so THANKS AGAIN N GOD BLESS YOU A LOT
this is the best jonas brothers song so far!
@richardburnell thanks
@KayCato I used a plectrum (pick) to play the notes on this vid as it makes a crisper sound than finger picking. You can also pay around with the settings on your amplifier. If you lower the ‘bass’ setting and increase the ‘treble’ setting the sound is sharper and less ‘muddy’ – hope that helps a bit.
i don’t know how to get that doing sound out of my bass
i m tuning my friends bass with the exact same one as the bass in the picture
haha…i did mine by ear and its perfect =D!
@TheMetalHead554 Listen to Haze, the song they did for the video by the same name, its kind of like a random shred topped off with effects but it sounds awesome.
@issues432 they sell them at my music shop
@SwirlyBrokenHearts how I understand you, about guitar teachers lol
@issues432 that’s the problem for me, I want the black K7 but can only get grey or blue so I got the gray one. I still want that black one.
He looks tired in this vid :p I love him haha. Seems like a really nice guy.
@eXtremeHellFire im pretty sure he uses an ibanez 7th heaven, but i dont know about any others
that was one of the best lessons ive ever had, im serious, every guitar teacher ive had didnt play what i wanted to, they were teaching me crappy rocknroll songs like the beatles or acdc LAME!
so thanks munky, finnally a lesson which is relevant to me and my taste, nu metal, i love other metal but nu metal really fires me even tho its pretty much dead now..
He seems so depressed for some reason
who can tell me what his pedals are :$
Wow a guitar lesson that actually teaches you something!!
he looks like damian marley XD
its so cute how he can’t remember/explain some stuff lol xD oh munky how i love u!
its so cute how he can’t remember/explain some stuff lol xD oh munky how i love u!
haha i am a huge KoRn fan, no im an epic! KoRn fan, but KoRn songs are soo miserably easy to play, so its funny to see that he teaches 3 super simple riffs in 10 minutes
@cdmaelstrom the ‘old” Korn is gone! get over it – the new Korn is here to stay!
@issues432 You can buy an Blue and paint it
@RockersTakingOver aha, so you never heard someone who REALLY can play that instrument
like watching this total version with this kind of movie in avatz, net change , to .
i don’t think munky’s caught on that his songs aren’t that hard to play. i mean sure, it sounds good, but it’s kinda irritating how slowly he teaches everything.
@drk6969: actually, munky’s been using distortion pedals most of his career, most regularly a big muff.
@buokopter hmmmmmmmm simplier is that even a word u fuckin retard
@eXtremeHellFire its jus the distortion on what ever amp he uses no distortion pedal
@eXtremeHellFire ive always heard he used digitech metal master but thats not it in the video
what is his dirty pedal
Korn music is simplier then punk rock
effects makes it sounds more complicated hehehe
